Minecraft has announced that no NFT operations within the game will be allowed.
Non-fungible token (NFT), which means “unchangeable token” in Turkish, means a unique token encrypted on the blockchain network.
Thanks to this technology, which became very popular last year, millions of dollars were earned from visual or video sales. NFTs have been in decline lately.
Minecraft bans NFTs
Recently, NFT activities have been carried out in Minecraft, which was acquired by Microsoft in 2014.
Minecraft developer Mojang announced that some servers are selling collectibles like the NFT skin pack by integrating blockchain technologies, but they will definitely not be allowed.
The developer company says that the fact that the NFT concept is open to manipulation and that its prices cannot be controlled from a center may make players suffer in the future.
For this reason, Minecraft stays away from blockchain technology for a while and is preparing to ban those who sell NFTs.
